Mark Budzar, Office Administrator
After attending the University of Cincinnati, Mark taught English as a second language in Daegu, South Korea. Upon his return to Cleveland, he worked as outreach counselor, with the Volunteers of America, serving the homeless population. Following his time with the VOA, he went on to assist with the implementation of the Cuyahoga County Pretrial Service Court Supervised Release Program, developing a specialized program for defendants with mental health issues and/or developmental disabilities.
Mark spent the next eleven years as a personal bailiff in the Court of Common Pleas, where he coordinated overall courtroom operations of a court docket consisting of 600 active cases; handled specialized dockets including the Mental Health Court and Commercial Dockets; coordinated service between the Public Defender’s Office, Sheriff’s Department, Prosecutors Office, Law Enforcement, Probation Department, Private Counsel and the Court.
In 2015, Mark joined the Cuyahoga County Public Defender as the Office Administrator where he oversees the Administration Division that includes Financial Management, Payroll, Human Resources, Information Systems, Reporting and Office Management.
