Paul Kuzmins, Director of Training
Paul has served in his dream job as an assistant public defender since 2002. He has dedicated his entire career to fighting for the poor and marginalized. Paul has served clients in the municipal trial division, felony trial division and the appellate/post-conviction division. Paul currently serves as the office Training Director. Paul has tried dozens of jury trials, argued before the Eighth District Court of Appeal of Ohio and the Ohio Supreme Court. Outside of the office, Paul plays more volleyball than his aging knees can tolerate, is an avid swimmer, hiker and camper. He sometimes daydreams about returning to the Appalachian Trail, where he met and unwittingly hiked alongside at least one person who was featured on America’s Most Wanted. Paul is a life-long Clevelander and a proud first-generation graduate of Baldwin-Wallace University and Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
